Bringin' It All Back

"Hello!", she said the first time we met..
Her smile sank deep inside my mind leavin' feelings in debt
Dressed in red and black she held herself high..
The lawn was the place where the words did untie

Drinks and emotions mixed in a pot exposed themselves that night..
I pretended to read her mind and tried to be the sunlight
Her golden hair flew mysterious 'ross her rosy cheeks..
"Alas", I thought to myself there she is above the peaks

Time flew by and at lunch we sat gazin' through the noon..
Private reasons big or small crawled into my mind too soon
Disillusioned words they flirt with my thoughts waitin' to be spoken..
Restrainin' myself I went into a bliss of none

Scarves I sent to see her for mixed tones echoed inside..
Await I still to perceive her by the fireside
Her voice sounds like pleasant streams..
For they hold the mystery of feelings untold on beams
