SHELL OF INDESTRUCTIBLE FRAGMENTS

Let the demons in my friend,
let them swallow you whole.
And if it's meant to be my friend,
they'll spare your weary soul.

I've cried over losses,
over children running loose.
But was it my resonsibility,
to repair the damaged woes.

The liabilities drain the very being of me,
I'm a shell of indestructable fragments.
One would think I've paid my dues,
but I guess I'm late with the payments.

Your face of innocence breaks my heart,
your laughter makes me cry.
I wish I could feel joy with you,
why oh why can't I?
