When it rains it pours.

Downpour

Walking in the rain on the University of Puget Sound campus. It's beautiful even in the rain. No one but Freshmen ever used umbrellas. You had to tough it out, no matter how heavy the rainfall. Even in a monsoon, books safe and dry in weatherproof backpacks, hair plastered to your skull, glasses misted over, every step becomes a mystery.

Rain has the great quality of shuffling, or postponing responsibilities ;-) I always found it the perfect justification for the dishevelled look or not mowing the lawn! Umbrellas are a diabolical invention for anyone on a quest!
Well written Anne
Thank you.

I love how simple the write is, until you get to the last bit 'every step becomes a mystery' and it how much it makes you think. Incredible imagery in the final sentence.
