Into Darkness
Weightless, almost, in her hallway,Waiting by a window, watching
Evening's lovely dying light, my
Heart afire, like the sky; her head
Appears; alas, just it. She says she
Cannot come, and, quickly, heaviness
Returns to me. I look toward the
Window, but the light has gone.
It's night.
