What we think ourselves to be

is based on the past

but the past is forever gone

only in the present do we really exist

here is aliveness

Nothing can exist in the past or the future

and a thought can never be aware

of these words that I am writing "now"

and you are reading "now"

Thus we can never be what we think ourselves to be

We can only be what we are....
