A Minnow's Tale
I see her, through the water, on the dock,A pretty little thing, who's placed her lure
Close to me. I'd rise to bite, but something,
Half-forgotten, in the dark below, is
Holding me. This monster's made it clear
I am not what she wants. Still, I'm in her
Jaws. She won't let go.
