Gung-Ho

No place to go
Nothin' to do
Down in the mouth
Feelin' so blue

Can't find the knack
Of being Gung-ho
To return to the fast track
Instead of the slow

Oh to be young again
To be like a kid
It ain't gonna happen
We can't do what we did

If you think like that Stan, it means you have had something to look back on, which is a whole lot better than not, yeh I like Elles comment, "we do it different" but of course still doing something rather than nothing. I don't think your ho has gung yet!

Do envy the young at all. I feel kind sad fore 'em , they wont see what I have seen, nor meet the people I have. Nor have the experiences I have had. Never be the bring old fart I am. Now the young are boring young farts. Will never be able to say '' now when I was no more than a nipper.... '' And pretend not too hear: '' Oh no , hear we goo again ''.

We just do it different :-)

Your first stanza reminded me of my youngest - he lives in the black hole of calcutta, only emerging when the smell of food strangles the air
