Capitalism
The wonder-boys have battled backFrom what they called adversity:
A couple public scoldings and a year
Without their bonus checks. But, now,
They've got the books a-cooking.
Now, they're looking into buying
Bigger houses, newer cars, and all
The under-others, us, who scan
The want ads on our porches,
Underneath the sheriffs' signs,
Must ask ourselves, how is it
That they've won again, these
Wonder-boys, and how is it
That we again have lost?
