Love at first sight is more of an opinion than a feeling, don't you think? 06 March 2006

My stranger.

For I know not what you do,

A comment I gave from me to you,

Was purely said straight from my heart,

For your life is where I play my part.

Yet stranger, I have such heed,

A garment to you in which I’ll bleed,

Your beautiful hair and eyes that lush,

For when I see, I can’t but blush.

You take pride and I do not blame,

For I wish to walk you and to claim,

Your love is all I want to keep,

Hold on tight, and bury deep.

And if my chance is rotten for you,

Say the words and we’re through,

For I want what is best, my love,

And I’ll leave to meet thee above.

Can’t say I tried in love at first sight,

I don’t know why, but it just feels right,

So take my hand and do not stray,

And we can walk the night away.

I think it might possibly be both an opinion and a feeling. There's that tickle that happens in the pit of your stomach making the corners of your mouth turn up, and the woozy feeling in your legs as you cross the floor closer to them...
This is a lovely piece, romantic and sweet. Nicely done.
