A tribute to a controversial legend. - 21st November 2010.

Che Guevara.

Time with endemic poverty, the past in its behaviour,
Catching up with us in its liberty, El Che Guevara.
Deprivation is still around us, even those who may be a soldier,
We're still the jaded criminals, El Che Guevara.

The remedy of the imperialism, seems to be a little colder,
Trying social reforms of attitude, El Che Guevara.
Controversial recognition, some refer you as a father,
and of this Imperial knowledgment, El Che Guevara.

Ernesto Che Guevara,
Your ordeals went beyond and further.

Ernesto Che Guevara,
Teach us the way to inspire us.

After having read this moving poem I suppose the next thing would be to invite you to see (if you haven't already watched it) a very poetic movie about Che called 'Motorcycle Diaries.' You won't regret it, promise. :-)

Interesting, thoughtful write! Do note that "it's" is reserved for 'it is'; the possessive form is "its."

I traveled to Cuba a few years ago and saw how "Che" was revered by the average Cuban. I've read his book and understand his philosophy. I don't necessarily agree with his methods but his principles and belief in the dignity of people are bang on. Good job with this John. It honestly touches Che's beliefs.
