Media Man
We don't traffic in the truth. It's boring, and it's useless,
So, we've learned it simply
Doesn't pay. We peddle better,
Useful stuff: the things you
Always hoped were true, the
Fantasies to fill your minds
With visions of the ones you'd
Be..if only you weren't you.
And, in between the pretty
Pictures, underlining all the
Lovely words you get, instead
Of truth, are messages suggesting
That you shouldn't try to live
Without the wondrous things
The people who employ us have
Produced.
