Principal, Vice-Principal Shot in Omaha High School (1/5/11)
Fifteen minutes of fame, at best; that's all you get,And what he got. He takes the gun and shoots himself.
Both of his victims are briefly famous, the woman
Who died, the man who lived. The TV reporter,
Who's on the scene is doing his best, in front of
The tape and the lights, the knots of sobbing kids,
To seem sufficiently sympathetic, but, somewhere
Behind his furrowed face, his spirits are soaring.
If all goes right, his piece will be played on the
Network news. Fifteen minutes of fame.
