But I Don't Drink from the Toilet

Morose as Ellen's stupid dog,
I do as he when she is gone.
I pad about from room to room,
And sigh, and then I go to sleep.
When Ellen's home from work,
She seethes. “You didn't do a
Goddam thing. You're like that
Dog. He needs a walk. Why
Don't you both get out?”
