SONG PLAYING ON THE RADIO

Sister stood at her machine ,

Song burst forth on the radio ,

Sis forgot her work ,

Feet possesst , caught up by the song ,

Grabbed the hand of a passing work mate ,

They danced , how they danced ,

The shop floor , a dance floor ,

Work forgot fore three minuets , work mates applauded ,

The song came too an end ,

Sis returned to the machine ,

The song had come to it's end ,

Sis resumed her work ,

At the machine

One of my favourites, Our Ken.

A perfect snapshot of an all too brief moment.

I read a story yesterday (in The Wall Street Journal, naturally) which said that workers in the U.K. were less productive than American, French or German workers. This is why.

Years ago, I saw a study which indicated that people in the U.K. were happier than Americans. This is why.

Tell your sister to keep dancing, Ken.

Soup in the Sand
Blasted fantastic!! Possessed by the music, the soul burst forth, with such a boldness of expressive art, the movement of dance- what a glorious few minutes that span an eternity!! To flit freely into spirit, shedding all worldly concerns, what true freedom, how this poem made me smile, such a gorgeous scene. Brilliant!!

A grand work. Get away from the drudgery for those 3 minutes in such style.

Such spontaneity, one of those rich moments captured so well Ken, don't you just love it when that happens.

In a kind of dichotomy music can both capture one's spirit and set it free, if only for three minutes, but what wonderful three minutes. A sweet story Ken . . . I'm turning on my radio.

What a happy image, and what a happy three minutes. To give into the music is a wonderful thing.

Your writing is crystal clear, I can see it. I wish I could hear it!

cheers,
