Parsippany

If you plan to visit Parsippany
A town renown for...naught
Be sure to go with company
To share your second thoughts

Prepare for non-excitement
You'll be fairly close to nowhere
You'll find there much incitement
To leave for some town else-ware

It's an any town with little raucous
There's nothing going on
It rates behind Secaucus
Beyond oblivion

You'll find it's not comparable
To New York, Paris or Rome
Yet its' natives find it bearable
To call Parsippany home

On the Hudson Rivers' wrong side
Yet east of Pennsylvania
Parsippany-ans live with pride
Which proves there are no folk zany-er

What a strange contrast. I was reading Paterson by William Carlos Williams yesterday, and that town is just a short drive from Parsippany. The communities sound similar, but the poems couldn't be more different. Yours is light and seems actually to describe the town. Bill's is delirious and seems more to be about him.

Reads like wet , cold and ice wind blowing from the sea. On a bleak Sunday afternoon in November. Standing on the under east cliff Ramsgate. Something to be mist at all cost!

Sounds like good times to me. I like a bit of naught.
