I Know Better
It wouldn't do me any goodTo go to her again and tell her
That I wish she'd stay. She'd
Say again she has to go. It
Wouldn't do me any good to
Make clear that she holds my
Heart, and, when she turns,
She'll lose her grip, and it
Will fall and break. She'd
Say I'll find somebody new.
That may be right, but she
Should know that, in her
Absence, there won't be a
Woman who would do me
Any good.
