THE TRUE FRIEND

I'd rather meet some one

When the storms life are

Battering me down

When the rain never seams

To stop

When the rain turns to snow

The snow to slush and ice

The person male or female

Young or old

Remains with you , smiling

Who cracks a bad joke

''Getting a bit rogh aint it ''

Said with a grin

'' Don't worry , mate , I aint going anywhere ''

'' Take my arm''

Save us all from fair weather friend's!

Cometh the times of need cometh the friend!

Ken the word "friend" is very loosely used these days, as you know...a true friend is one who is there through thick and thin, through difficult times, one to whom you can always turn. They are few and far between, and can be anyone, male, female, young or old...as you so eloquently say. Few things hurt more than a "friend" who lets you down. Good write.
Take care.
