Procrastination

Glass of red in hand
feel the float
and think thoughts
of past
wonder where
I am
life passing
shouting
come on!
come on!
just need to make
decisions,
but oh
the procrastination!

I sometimes think that procrastination also has a purpose. Many times my mind rebels when I use those words 'must' or 'should.' It says 'why must you or why should you?' Usually, I have to modify the way I'm approaching some of these musts and shoulds and then my mind says: 'OK, do it.' And occasionally, I realize that I have no intention of doing these things and I'd just as well stop obsessing over it.

Great poem.

Somehow that crystal with the rosy glow does often lead to procrastination - have been there many a time - definitely a poem I think most could relate to, especially of a certain age :-)
