The Will Of Seeing

A look that lasts longer than eyes see
utterly, complex in composition the expression
Of gifted imagination held captive, indentured to madness
( subjected to torments which heaven only knows how to heal)
Something horrid just out of frame threatens
The mind furiously freezes each time into icy cubes
They may thaw on a gentler day
Those too awful to review remain frozen forever,
My eyes see the sacred will of Grace in that expression
Which never fails to send lightning strokes of prayer through my bones,
A look that you alone may forgive the world for another's transgressions
Against complete innocence born without trespass or blame
miraculous being of an infinitely mysterious creation
thoughts transform and are set free
looking longer than eyes see...
