Slushes and Sloshes

In the sleet, the snow, the slushes and sloshes

Mom made me wear those doggone galoshes

No longer in stores, long gone and forgotten

Were rubber overshoes our feet were so hot in

The thought of wearing them leaves me aghast

I’m so glad galoshes are now way in my past

I loved galoshes for some strange reason.
To me, it meant freedom of the outdoors.
But then again, I'm quite a strange person.
Thanks for sharing, Stan.
