For Ken
Maybe that's why I am not on TV.
I'm not dressed in a dark suit
And taking home millions.
I don't visit boardrooms.
I can't act or sing, and I'm not
In the capitol, calling said dark
Suits for money, which, though
It would keep me in office, won't
Make me compromise. I'm not
Corrupt. What I am is a man,
Among millions, who move things,
And make things, and sell them,
A source of the labor which takes
What we have, the fruits of the earth,
And creates what we want, and,
Doing so, generates wealth, which,
So quickly, is siphoned away, to pay
Dark suits and senators, cops
And detectives, the people who
Are on TV.

From the Bottom of the Pyramid
I'm not a detective, a cop, or a doctor.Maybe that's why I am not on TV.
I'm not dressed in a dark suit
And taking home millions.
I don't visit boardrooms.
I can't act or sing, and I'm not
In the capitol, calling said dark
Suits for money, which, though
It would keep me in office, won't
Make me compromise. I'm not
Corrupt. What I am is a man,
Among millions, who move things,
And make things, and sell them,
A source of the labor which takes
What we have, the fruits of the earth,
And creates what we want, and,
