Love is like barb wire, walk into it and you will hurt and bleed.

Come back

I stand upon the shore
looking out to sea
the wind
whips at my hair and dress
perhaps
it will fill the sails
and speed your return
Come back to me, my Love.

I will stand here
for eternity
until I turn to dust
and
mingle with the sand
the tide will come
and
wash me out
then
I will come to you, my Love.

Lovely imagery, from blowing in the wind to mingling with the dust. Bravo!

I like to way you've connected how the wind comes and goes; the tide comes and goes;life and death comes and goes, and lastly, love can come and go. Good insight to be able to weave them into the poem.
