Apparently, One Size Does Not Fit All
I was relieved when she said she wasDone with me, happiness being, in
Some cases, absence (not absinthe,
Though, plainly, in come cases, that),
And I must admit that I welcomed
The rain. As I sat by my telephone,
Shaken at first by the news I had lost
The job I'd been doing for more than
A decade, then suddenly pleased,
I started to wonder if what I'd been
Told were the things someone needed
To live his life well, a lover, and
Sunshine, a (god-awful) job,
Hadn't made life less lovely for me.
