for Ken
The day he tumbled from the sky.
He screamed, as anybody would,
And, afterward, when it was silent,
We came close to look at him.
How could someone be so foolish?
What had made him try to fly?
We laughed, but, later,
In the night, I wondered
What he'd seen.

The Foolish Boy
I was working in my fieldThe day he tumbled from the sky.
He screamed, as anybody would,
And, afterward, when it was silent,
We came close to look at him.
How could someone be so foolish?
What had made him try to fly?
We laughed, but, later,
In the night, I wondered
What he'd seen.
