Id and Superego
The man my parents hoped I'd beNow stares at me in disbelief.
“You're satisfied with what you've
Done? That tiny list? You've
Haven't saved a life or gotten
Very rich.” The bitter man the
World made replies, “I did
The things I had to do, and
Some I wanted done,
And, though the list runs
Single digits, I believe I've
Done enough. I will not lie
Awake tonight, and you can
Fuck yourself.”
