In memory of Philip Larkin
You scoundrel. I shall punish you
With verbiage. You'll taste defeat,
And, while you and those hooligans
Who stand at your side simply giggle,
Displaying your incomprehension,
Others with knowledge and those
Who can read will agree you've been
Bested, been brought to the ground,
By one weightier of body, but also of
Mind, a forger of weapons from words.

Almost a Superhero
Make light of my girth at your peril,You scoundrel. I shall punish you
With verbiage. You'll taste defeat,
And, while you and those hooligans
Who stand at your side simply giggle,
Displaying your incomprehension,
Others with knowledge and those
Who can read will agree you've been
Bested, been brought to the ground,
By one weightier of body, but also of
Mind, a forger of weapons from words.
