Democracy in the Twenty-first Century
The answer is that we don't care. The question is, what's wrong with that?
We're busy grasping after things, and
Clinging to those that we have, and
Slipping lower. Others rise. The game
Is rigged. We all know that, but
We're not rule-makers, are we?
That's not what we like to do, and,
Thus, those who like rule-making
Make them. How they help themselves,
And this is why the game is rigged,
And why we slip. We do not care.
And what is wrong with that?
