The disability which keeps the U.S. from becoming a civilized nation.
Men, whose fears are manifest.
A single sleight could make
Us eunuchs. Thus, we keep
Our guns at hand. We strut
And bellow on the world stage.
We send our ships and planes
Around the globe to show our
Strength. We beat our wives
To prove to them (and us)
That we control our homes,
And we cage black men,
Sometimes kill them, so
They'll see we're not afraid,
But we are, always. That is
How it is to be a man.

Machismo
We're the saddest sort of creatures,Men, whose fears are manifest.
A single sleight could make
Us eunuchs. Thus, we keep
Our guns at hand. We strut
And bellow on the world stage.
We send our ships and planes
Around the globe to show our
Strength. We beat our wives
To prove to them (and us)
That we control our homes,
And we cage black men,
Sometimes kill them, so
They'll see we're not afraid,
But we are, always. That is
How it is to be a man.
