This was inspired by Alarian's "Now" In order to get the first two lines to sound right, you must stress that first word, Can.
One sound? We can, I think. We
Have. We will, our lives kept
Small and close to earth by thoughts
So plain they will not soar, by
Need, not want, by plea and shout.
We feed and fuck, and fight and
Sleep. We cling and grasp. We
Know no love. When we are dead,
Our kin will note that all our steps
From birth to grave could have
Been told with words with just
One sound.

Lives Kept Small
Can we make do with words withOne sound? We can, I think. We
Have. We will, our lives kept
Small and close to earth by thoughts
So plain they will not soar, by
Need, not want, by plea and shout.
We feed and fuck, and fight and
Sleep. We cling and grasp. We

From birth to grave could have
