This poem is about a dark, penetrating love, one which brings pain, and one which the poet realises he was rid himself off.

Carousel of Doom

Pin your wings onto shadows of broken dreams,
Come forth and un-brick this dark wall between us,
And let me see the light in your eyes,
Revealing those swirling, black holes full of lies.

Watching you, waiting, breathing, fainting,
Calming my soul with the ideas of dreaming.
Whispering your name and shouting it aloud,
And you can't but hear my screams in the clouds.

I should sleep and you could but you wouldn't let me,
You keep calling, keep crawling, you keep mauling through me,
I can't sleep at night, I can't breathe alright.
I don't know what to do to keep up this fight.

You're like a rash, spreading through my soul, breaking through my mold,
You're like a rash, rushing through my veins, causing me this pain.

I can't deal with this hurt, I can't deal with this pain,
I can't have my heart ripped through again and again,
You're scarring up my soul and tearing up old wounds,
I can't go around anymore on this carousel of doom.

The images and emotions here are brillant--so chilling, yet beautiful at the same time!

Hey, Shas dear, you are really bleeding!
As Nepolean once put it:
"Tearing my heart out with a thousand knive...."(I even have a poem on that)
I read your work and that is what comes to my mind!
May you attain the much needed and much deserved peace of heart.
((((hugs)))))
Love,xxx, Zoya
