out of the dark
Two lovers,alone in the dark
living in sin,
afraid of the dawn
In light they might see us
what will they feel?
what will they say?
will they know this is real?
Right now they are happy
to live in without light
but both of them feel
this is not right
they feel they're betraying
heritage and kin
but the hiding, it hurts
what they carry within
dawn is approaching
what will they do
what will I say,
"it's all up to you"?
We live in the dark,
we love in the dark,
but all we experience,
is the light of eachother
a light that will not fade
no matter what...
In shame, in sin,
but never regret
I don't hope we've seen
the best of it yet
Let's hope that love
that love will be enough
that we can get their blessing
stand tall
when time's are rough
when dawn has to break
when light flashes
on the horizon
let's hope I say
- I love you
