HE COULD BE HIM

He got to talking
Well more to listen
The unknown man
Never ask for out
He was kind of surprised
He did not
Not that he of given out
He'd nowt to give
Him anyway
The man talk of his
Troubles , he had many

He listened while to the stranger
The man became a stranger less
And less , as the time past
He know the man more and more
Told of his life from childhood
Right up to then that moment in his life

He , both stood up , shock hands , said thanks
He went down the road , the man went up
Never ever to see each other again

One of those "passing ships in the night" moments, but it's the sort of thing you never forget, nicely expressed Ken.

He , both stood up , shock hands , said thanks
He went down the road , the man went up
Never ever to see each other again

What a beautiful ending! And a beautiful poem too! Thanks for sharing it!
