JUST WHAT WAS IT? JUST WHAT IS IT?

I took a look at it
At different times
Of the day and night
In between times of the day
Afternoon , evening even
Some times it was BIG , some times small , tiny
It's colour , colour's changed , some times black and white
Some times scary , weird , strange
Other times , it's beauty , jaw dropping gorgeous
From this to that , even one or the other , or a mix of all things
Some unknown , some totally known , gob smacking , it has to be said
Long , short , fat , thin and all that and more besides
The eye , the light can play strange tricks on the mind
Making it all things to humankind

Nicely done, Ken. Whatever it is, it keeps changing, like the one who views it.

This is truly fantastic, Ken. So many things came to my mind from the immensity of the Universe and it's stars to the most insignificant object on the sand. Enigmatic.

You've captured what painters and photographers know - that everything depends upon the light. One of America's iconic photographic artists was Ansel Adams who spent most of his life in the mountains and landscapes of rugged Yosemete Park . . . sometimes he would wait several weeks in one place until the light was exactly as he wanted it to capture a scene in the way that best revealed it. Nicely done Ken.
