think
that you are
something special
you shall
know

Superb--both the painting and the poem. It's so hard to express such complex thoughts with only a handful of words. You did it to perfection.

Karl, there is a poet on this site named Rob Graber. If you do a search of "members" you'll find him. Occasionally Rob will quote his sagacious and beloved Uncle Ikey, you can find these poems under Rob's name.

You and Uncle Ikey bear a strong resemblance in the ability to reduce complex ideas to their essence. The primary difference between you and Uncle Ikey is the accent.

Whether Uncle Ikey can illustrate as well as you, he hasn't revealed. I kinda doubt it.

I am enjoying your poems very much, and it's nice to have some common sense wisdom back on the site. We need it. Or, I should say, I do.
