For So Long
I waited for so long.Full of hope I stood freezing,
wishing and waiting until
the sun set beneath the oceanīs breath.
My heart sank
like a stone in my chest.
The night poured into me,
turning into velvet concrete in my veins.
I felt the moon rise,
I could hear the ripples on the water
laughing out loud - mocking me.
I suddenly knew, I had waited too long.
