Which Best Suits You?
Here's the slide show. Choose your hell.My wife's friends gathered by the pool.
They're engineers, divorced and jaded,
No more capable of knowing joy than
I, and very dull. A visit from a chatty
Plumber, come to fix the basement
Pipes, but always, it seems, upstairs
Blabbing. Young men playing shooting
Games a few feet from where I am
Writing. My love, near, but close to
Others, choosing not to speak.
