She never leaves for good. She doesn't let meGo. She has this unexplained persistence
I, so quick to claim defeat, so fidgety,
Can't understand. She smiles beatifically
As I, again, apologize for one more foolish
Thing I've done, and tells me we will be
All right. I don't know what I bring to her,
And I suspect she'll never say. She's here
A moment, then she goes, but never
Leaves for good.
