BLACK CLOWDES GATHERING!

Black cloud's gathering
Sounds of thunder - like artillery
Hailstones - landing - size of musket balls
Sounding just - as if they are
Large - caliber hitting the ground
Fork lightning - seen in the sky
Day light - no longer seen - all is black now

Some-one comments:
''Sounding - looking - like a war! '' , '' and no one told 'os! ''
Then new clouds - appeared - showing blood red
A trick of the stormy light?

Nice work Ken. It puts you write in the event. I suppose where you are you are worried about wars since it always gets bombed.

I have always been afraid of thunderstorms, in spite of their beauty, but the thought of comparing it with war changes the feel of it. Very interesting poem.
