The sea.

I Have Seen the Sea

I have seen the sea,
it always seems
to be looking at me.
I wonder where the waves start,
and does the ocean even have a heart?

I have heard the waves crash,
I have seen them smash the rocks,
I wonder why the sea seems so big,
even though it can't compare to our
beloved air.

I have heard and I have seen the sea
swipe the rocks to the dock,
and I recognized it sing a low and
rippling song.
I have wondered where the waves start,
and I hope the ocean has a heart.

This poem takes us over the hurdle of reason to transcendental meaning.

I enjoyed reading this poem about the sea which us my favorite part of our planet. It is full of mysterious creatures we don't understand and it most definitely has a heart that thunders with each beat. A beautiful poem.
