Blue Columbine= Colorado State Flower (latin: columbinus- dove like, from the resemblance of the inverted flower to a cluster of doves)

Spring Forth, Sweet and Mighty Life

A Source pool springs up

Trickles down a slopping mountain side,

Gathering moisture from heavy laden dew

Of early morning drops, bathing Blue Columbine,

A little cluster of doves, 'neath tall Aspens

All awaiting Glory, the joy of the rising sun.

Oh, how delicate are the intricacies of Becoming.

The anticipation and awe in creation of life anew

As the world completes a turn of perfection

A day is born and time begins again.

Death and life meet and no one cries

For there can be joy in eternity

As circles blend the beginning and the end.

Where the the dew joins with the Spring

Water and water become streams flowing,

Rolling over rock and fields, gathering seeds and life.

Spreading, carrying, transferring new ideas and certainties,

Which become creeks and rivers, growing, moving, and

Shaping the land, while valleys create moutains.

The Moutains reach to the Heavens and touch Stars.

All things of life are connected and come from life.

The dust of the stars are the chromosones in the flowers.

While the petals of the doves help the Columbines cling

To the quivering Aspen and give them rest,

The flowing rivers open their mouths to pour out into the oceans

And give back from which came the source of the spring.

Spring forth, sweet and mighty Life.

You are the the Breath of God!

This is wonderful Kathy. You describe nature so well. The lines "Death and life meet and no one cries, For there can be joy in eternity" are so insightful. When there is sadness in nature it is metered and expected. We try to destroy it with poly-carbonates, concrete and steel which lasts almost forever and interrupts the cycle. Great work here :)
