I’ve got a new grandson, Evan John, better known as, “Bubby,”to his big sissy, Lizzie.
This is for him, #5.

Evan John

Evan John
youngest grandson
the warmth of my heart
your colorful eyes
truly, a surprise
grey, green, navy blue
mystery of you
shining bright
a moon beam
in the blackest night
the pathway to joy
sweet, beautiful, baby boy
glowing Cherubic-face
God’s grace
fills
the empty place
that’s been waiting
just for you.

Love, Nana

A latecomer to your poetry, Kathy, I see that your grandchildren are an inspiration to you. The love they bring into the family gets transposed into your words. Write some more please!
Blessings, Allen

A light, tripping poem, that beautifully sums up the joy of grandparenthood.
