I’ll use this verse to give you

a bio, but extended

A writer through and through

my remit, open-ended

In England, I reside

but in Scotland, I was born

Joined the army and took pride

on leaving, I was torn

For twenty years plus three

I served my Queen and nation

At forty, I was free

my mind filled with elation

 In 1993

a new career I sought

It took a while for me

easy, it was not

Interviews and training

took up many days

No point, me complaining

none listened anyways

Retail was my choice

to tackle this new phase

I couldn’t yet rejoice

I had to gain a place

More training mixed with travel

I learned the ropes quite fast

My plans could not unravel

in this die I’d cast

Five and twenty years

I toiled, store to store

Management and trainer

I gave; they asked for more

Last November I retired

in 2017

I start each day inspired

relaxing, not my scene

For ten years I’ve been writing

my first tales were in verse

Short stories next; exciting

and novels, quite diverse

Many genre I will chance 

including Science-Fiction

Erotica, Romance

my muse knows no restriction

I demonstrate my work

in this intro piece
