the gate hinge

carries its great load asking only

   the occasional favor

   of a drop of oil

beyond that it meets

its Sisyphean challenge uncomplainingly

Hi Jim,
I really enjoy the apparent simplicity of your poetry. You sit down, and think. In this world that is not easy. Good for the soul. Peter
