A Summer Garden

Hanging baskets in a row
Really make the garden grow
Reds and purples, white and green
Verbena known as peaches and cream

Eucalyptus, and the sun king too
With honeysuckle growing through
Hibiscus, Hostas, marigolds in bloom
And Roses red for our front room

The hanging bride all decked in white
Baside Clematis looking bright
Darkeyena shows her colours blue
Geraniums stand up bold and true

Hebes turn from red to green
Viburnum still has not been seen
Passion fruit climbs trellis fair
The Heliotropium scents the air

In my pagola as I sit
And watch the sparrows as they flit
Among the flowers in all their glory
From me to you a nature story.
