There are days that what is going on in America is just too much and I want to pretend it’s not real, ignore what is happening. This was a call to myself to not succumb to hopelessness but summon courage.
about climate change called
“Living in the Time of Dying.”
I fear that many have given up
amid the daily chaos we now endure,
and are themselves now dying
in the time of living.
We cannot give up,
we just cannot.
The world is surely fraying,
dictatorships rising, poverty deepening,
truth being buried ever farther
as AI tightens its hold.
Still, we must persist.
We must live with all the courage
we can muster,
fight off our fears, and forge ahead.
Justice does not simply saunter in.
Space must be made for Her to enter.
She must be invited, welcomed,
and her presence fiercely protected.
So while the world may be dying,
we must live boldly -
stand for Truth,
speak for Justice,
reach toward Empathy,
and resist those who seek destruction.
This is the time for living.
Onward.

When Courage Must Stand
I once watched a documentaryabout climate change called
“Living in the Time of Dying.”
I fear that many have given up
amid the daily chaos we now endure,
