This is very loosely inspired by weird fishes from Radiohead. One of my worse poems… Criticis always welcome!

The bottom

We lie at the bottom
Eyes locked
In the deep sea
Unmoving, you and me.

Its addicting, the seafloor
I want to stay
Yet I know I’ll decay
I miss the shore.

And so, after a late night dance
Looking over the seascape
I take my chance
And escape.

In the evening I breathe bubbles again
Because of persistant pleads
I follow where she leads
The bottom, her den.

We lie at the bottom
As we get eaten by the fish
I look at the shore, a greater wish
Palm against palm.

In the deep sea
You and me.

I had to hear and watch the clip of the song on YT. Cool. I understood your poem more then. Watch out for those weird fishes.
