~*A Single Present*~

It's almost Christmas, Daddy;

do you remember the last one we had?

Wrapped up in blankets all nice and warm,

I lay in your strong arms as

you read me a Christmas poem.

Silent night, stars shining bright,

Rudolph and his bright red nose, laughing

at mommy, as she danced on her toes.

Opening presents, one by one, oh

Daddy, remember how much fun?

The tree is up now, Daddy, with lights all aglow,

presents laid underneath, one

for you, one for mommy, and

one for me.

I sent Santa my list;

I hope he grants my wish--

For you see,

I do not want presents this year;

all I want for Christmas is

my Daddy, holding me in his arms,

reading me a Christmas poem,

just like it used to be.

Please Santa, please

bring my Daddy back to me~

This single present, beneath the tree?

It's to you, Daddy--from me.

This is a heartwarming sentiment to the one that you loved. I loves it , especially around this time of the year. Also welcome to the bay. : )
