Blind Eyed

She walks alone and unafraid in hidden agony,
ignores the jeers and names that pummel and bruise her.
No one helps they all join in, an army she faces.
They all aim and shoot slowly breaking her bit by bit.
She never falls; her head held high blinking back tears.
Every part disintegrated, striped of happiness.
Bare she is left and vulnerable, very much unwanted.
Torrents of hate she is hit with and nothing to protect her.
She has lost the will to speak, to stand up for herself.
They pushed her to hell and let her be ripped to pieces.
She wept, she screamed but her lips stayed silent her face unstained.
A fallen angel destined to fly but held down.
Each day her feathers singe more,
tying her to the world by thousands of hands.
How damaged is she, just look in her eyes and see for yourself.
Her eyes tell stories I would never imagine,
Stories that eat her away and turn her to nothing.
Who never helped? Who did nothing?
I did nothing to help myself.
