Shenanigans

Your shenanigans
Ring
But do not fool me
Roundly.

As I toss your thoughts away
I know I will sleep very soundly.

How can you gather to yourself
The fragile and self loathing?
Are you so unsure of love
You merely glimpse it as you are moaning?

Let the ones who need to ease
Fly away to their own mornings
Leave them young and healthy
Unstained by unhealthily introduced thoughts.

Do not gather them to you.
They will blossom according to nature.
You are not very natural you know...
No matter how you paint yourself.

Oh I wish I had a spell
To keep you and your agenda
From all the hurt you insist is yours
I wish you were able to deal with truth alone.
I wish you would drown yourself
Without taking vulnerable souls to die.
It is not your right to do.
No matter how you dress it up
They do not deserve your shenanigans.

Wow Limber you have written a poem filled with deeply felt feelings here. You have a way with words that cut straight to the bone. This is a strong poem with a very hard message. Poetry is not always peaches and cream. Sometimes the mind must express what is aching in the gut and let the heart beat on its own. Well done. kathy

Seems like a continuation of same old, same old shenanigans going on on this site Linda? Shenanigans can be playful and they can be extremely distressing or hurtful, having a sense of humour and moving on from such shenanigans is what this site and Ade are all about, looking too deeply into what you think others motives and deeper emotions are all about, is also foolish in my humble opinion. No one knows other than those closest to the heart of the matter.

Just a thought from Tai

smiling at you

I think its a type of morbid feasting, the more gruesome it is, the more it satisfies. A bit like picking at sores, shenanigans is as good a term though - its a bit like those religious cults that attmept to brainwash
