stuck in hospital right before Christmas with a blood clot in my lung

hospital

i grit my teeth, i close my eyes
i will the pain away with all my might
but i can't hide, can't run away,
because it won't be alright.

stuck in a hospital bed,
just before Christmas day
while my son waits at home
for his mum to come home and play

we were suppose to go see Santa
in his special magic cave
see all the lights, so proud on display
close my eyes, try and be brave.

i grit my teeth, i close my eyes
i will the pain away with all my might
but i can't hide, can't run away,
because it won't be alright.
